Subject: Recurring Vendors
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to
vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year.
On September 10, 2019, Council approved the use of 21 vendors, which on aggregate
may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager’s spending limit) over the course of the fiscal
year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the
list exceed the threshold of $20,000. At this time, two vendors: Lank Oil Company and
Creative Staffing, Incorporated have exceeded $20,000 in aggregate purchases. Lank
Oil Company was included in the January 31st, 2020 LTC Update
Creative Staffing, Incorporated provides temporary staffing services to the Village
departments from time to time. Presently 1 individual from the firm is providing
supplemental assistance to our Finance Department to cover duties related to a vacant
position. The cost for these services is being covered through salary savings.
