Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the minutes of the January meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve the Treasurer’s Report for January. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes, carried. Melanie Kirkpatrick, GCDA Director, presented an update of current activities. Jim Rodemeyer, INRCOG, presented information regarding housing rehabilitation project #1. Motion by Lindaman second by Van Heiden to approve Resolution #02-06 a resolution awarding the lowest, most responsible bid to Truax Construction for Project #1 in the Wellsburg Housing Rehabilitation Program. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Mike Nederhoff, Fire Chief, presented the FY 2007 budget request. Motion by Van Hauen second by James to amend the wage increase for Leon Abels and Merrill Lindaman to 3% for FY 2007. Ayes: James, Lindaman, Van Hauen, and Van Heiden. Nays: Nielsen. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve FY 2007 budget request of $300.00 for Operation Threshold. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Van Heiden to approve increasing the City portion of the Wellsburg Public Library budget to $28,800.00 for FY 2007. Set the date for public hearing on the proposed FY 2007 budget for March 6, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The City Council regretfully accepted the resignation of Larry Hess. City Clerk to advertise for a janitor for the Memorial Bldg. Motion by Van Heiden second by Nielsen to approve the liquor license for the Wellsburg Community Club. All ayes, carried.
