HomeMy Public PortalAbout1993-42 Adopting final millage rate for 1993-1994RESOLUTION NO. 93-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY BISCAYNE ADOPTING THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1993, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1994, PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 200.065 (TRIM BILL) . WHEREAS, on September 14, 1993, the Village Council adopted the "Proposed Millage Rate" for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1993, and further scheduled the final public hearing required by Section 200.065 of the Florida Statutes to be held on September 27, 1993, at 7:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065 of the Florida Statutes the Property Appraiser has made tax assessments for all real property within the jurisdiction of the Village of Key Biscayne; and WHEREAS, the said public hearing, as required by Section 200.065 (2) (d), was held by the Village Council on September 27, 1993, commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the evening, as previously advertised and the public and all interested parties having had the opportunity to address their comments to the Village Council, the Village Council having considered the comments of the public regarding the millage rate and having complied with the "TRIM" requirements of the Florida Statutes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the millage rate for the Village of Key Biscayne for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1993 through September 30, 1994, be and is hereby fixed at the rate of .004439 mils which is $4.439 per thousand dollars of assessed property within the Village of Key Biscayne. Section 2. The roll -back rate is $2.361, the millage rate is $4.439, which is 88.01 percent over the roll -back rate. Section 3.
