A SPECIAL ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER OF CASH FROM
THE ELECTRIC UTILITY TO THE GENERAL FUND IN 1995
WHEREAS the Common Council of Richmond, Indiana, serves as the Board of
Directors of the city owned electric utility, commonly referred to as
Richmond Power & Light, and
WI-IFREAS Indiana Code 8-1.5-3-11(a) provides "the municipal legislative body, with
the approval of the board, may transfer payment in lieu of taxes and special
dividends of the utility to the general fund", and
WHEREAS Common Council acting as the Board of Directors of Richmond Power &
Light met in special session June 13, 1994, and decided to transfer
$1,900,000 to the City General Fund for 1995,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the Finance Manager of Richmond Power and Light transfer from the electric utility to the city
