A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A CONTRACT FOR LEGAL SERVICES WITH ALVAREZ-GLASMAN & COLVIN, AND
APPOINTING NOEL TAPIA AS CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin, on February 5,
2019, to provide legal counsel and represent the City's interests in legal matters; and
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed Noel Tapia on February 5, 2019 as the
City Attorney to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the office of City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin wish to enter into
a Contract for City Attorney Services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards a Professional Services
Agreement for City Attorney Services as included with this Resolution with the law firm of
Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin and hereby appoints Noel Tapia as City Attorney.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Professional Services
Agreement for City Attorney Services with the law firm of Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Attorney shall certify as to the adoption of the Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 19th day of March, 2019.
