HomeMy Public PortalAbout067-1994 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET - BORDINANCE NO. 67-1994 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for calendar year 1994, and WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one major budget classification to another within a department or office, and WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1, and WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the 1994 budget be amended as follows: _....__.m.._...._.._._...._____._._.._.___._...._._..__.__.____ _. _.._...__._.._._.._.._._._._ __._.. Add $9,500.00 to Radio Equipment New Account No. 101-1-6-601-4-4470 B . Motor Vehicle Highway Fund Delete $20,000.00 from Other Contractual Services Existing Account No. 218-38-380-3801-3-3990 2. MILLIGAN City Attorney This ordinance transfers $25,886 in the Board of Works budget from "Other Contract Service" to "Motor Equipment" for the purchase of a Chevrolet truck for a building inspector, a Ford truck for the weights and measures inspector who also serves as a building inspector, and the necessary equipment therefor. l The ordinance transfers $9,500 in the Board of Works budget from "Other Contract Services" to 'Radio Equipment" for a new radio system for the building inspectors. The ordinance also transfers $20,000 in the Motor Vehicle Highway budget from "Other Contractual Services" to "Hot -Cold Mix" to allow more paving work to be done by street division employees and equipment rather than independent contractors. The ordinance can be passed with all three readings in a single meeting upon suspension of rules to advance to second and third readings. Sincerely yours, l� Thomas S.
