AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING =SECTION 2371 OF THE TEMPLE CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO HOLIDAYS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 2371 of the Temple City Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2371. Holidays.
All employees shall be entitled to the following legal
holidays each year:
January 1
February (3rd Monday)
March or April - - - --
May (last Monday)
:July 4
September (1st Monday)
October (4th Monday)
November (4th 'Thursday)
December 25
New Year's Day
Washington's Birthday
Good Friday-- 12:00 to 3:00
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Veteran's Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Any day appointed by the President or Governor as a
public holiday, subject to approval of the City Council, and
any other day designated by the Council.
When a holiday falls on .a Sunday, the following. Monday
will be the official day off; when a holiday falls on Satur-
day, the preceding Friday will be the official day off.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in
the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated, in the City of Temple City.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of November, 1969.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No.
69 -296, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Temple City, held on the 21st day of October, 1969, and
was duly passed, approved and .adopted by said Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular
meeting of the said City Council held on the 4th day of November,
1969, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Beckley, Briggs, Merritt, Tyrell, Harker
NOES: Councilmen- None
