Home My Public Portal About068-1994 - TAX ABATEMENT - BEVS THREADS INC;PAUL W LINGLE;NIXONORDINANCE NO. 68-1994 (2nd Ready Amendment) A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTIJORIZING THE APPROVAL OF STATEMENTS OF BENEFITS FOR PROPERTY OWNERS APPLYING FOR DEDUCTIONS UNDER I.C. 6-1.1-12.1 WHEREAS Common Council has adopted Resolutions No.10-1984, No. 22-1988, and No. 24-1989 designating eight economic revitalization areas within the City of Richmond, and WHEREAS I.C. 6-1.1-12.1 requires the Common Council as the designating entity to approve all Statements of Benefits required to be filed by property owners applying for deductions in assessed valuations for the installation of new manufacturing equipment or for the redevelopment or rehabilitation of real property, and WHEREAS an owner of real property located in an economic revitalization area is entitled to a 10 year deduction from the assessed value of that real property as determined by Resolution No. 2-1987, and WHEREAS an owner of new manufacturing equipment is entitled to a 5 year or 10 year deduction from the assessed value of new manufacturing equipment placed in service after March 8,1994, as determined by Ordinance No. 20-1994, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following property owners meet the requirements for property tax assessed valuation deductions as follows: NEW MANUFACTURING REAL ESTATE -10 YEARS EQUIPMENT -10 YEARS . ... _... ......_.... ._.._.m__....._ ..... _.Bev's-Threads; Etc: ....._.__...._...----------- m.__.__.------_-.._m_...._.__._._.. ROGER CORNETT Mayor Janet Hibner Director All applicants for Statement of Benefits should be using Form SB-1 revised as follows (R4/10-93). A copy of that form is enclosed. Some businesses are still using old forms. I have rewritten Ordinance No. 68-1994 and attached copies of all Statements of Benefits to the ordinance. Henceforth I shall check each statement for completeness and timeliness in so far as our office records are concerned and verify that the business location is in an Economic Revitalization Area. You will receive copies of each statement with the proposed ordinances. The committee that has reviewed the statements in the past will not function in the future since you will be performing your own review.
