Minutes of the Strategic Planning Meeting of the Village President and the Board of Trustees
Held on March 7,2015
at Village Hall
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. in the Boardroom. Present were: Mayor
Collins, Trustee Bonuchi, Trustee Fay, Trustee Lamb, Trustee Peck. Board absent: Trustee Racich.
Others present: Dr. Lewis G. Bender, Facilitator; Brian Murphy, Administrator; Traci Pleckham,
Management Services Director; A. De Boni, Community Relations Director; Michael Garrigan,
Planning Supervisor; Dean Marquez, Building Supervisor; Allen Persons, Public Works Director; and
John Konopek, Chief of Police. There were 4 persons in the audience.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
None
STRATEGIC PLANNING DISCUSSION
Staff presented and reviewed an update to the Action Items of the 2018 Strategic Plan. Staff
reviewed the progress of the action items as well as the next steps. The Village Board and staff sat in
groups to consider additional action items for the four major goal areas:
• Transportation/Community Connections
• Community Life/Identity
• Business and Retail Development
• Village Infrastructure
The Village Board and staff identified additional action items. Staff will update the action item list to
include the additional action items as discussed during the group discussions.
Mayor Collins thanked everyone for the discussion.
On a motion from Trustee Fay and seconded by Trustee Lamb,the meeting adjourned at
11:25 a.m.
