SPECIAL MEETING
February 9 and 10, 2006
The Moab City Council held a Special City Council Workshop Meeting
on the above date at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, 111 East 100
North, Moab, Utah. Mayor Sakrison called the Special Meeting to order
at 8:45 AM. In attendance were Councilmembers Gregg Stucki, Kyle
Bailey, Keith Brewer, and Rob Sweeten. Also in attendance were City
Manager Donna Metzler, City Recorder Rachel Ellison, Public Works
Director Brent Williams, Water Superintendent Lloyd Swenson, Street
Superintendent Ken Denney, Facilities Supervisor Chace Gholson, Parks
Superintendant Mark Marshall, City Treasurer Jennie Ross, Recreation
Coordinator John Geiger, Teen Center Director Joanna Sewall, Swim
Center Manager Shawn Welch, Moab Arts and Recreation Center
Administrator Janet Lowe, City Planner Robert Hugie; Planning and
Community Development Director David Olsen, Police Chief Michael
Navarre, Police Lieutenant Scott Mallon, Animal Control Officer Randy
Zimmerman, Safety Officer Steve Brock, and Zoning Administrator
Sommar Johnson; one member of the media was present.
The purpose of the Special Meeting was a Visioning Workshop between
Elected Officials and City Depar tinents.
City Manager Metzler made a brief presentation. Each Department made
a presentation. Discussion followed amongst City Staff and City
Councilmembers and Mayor.
Mayor Sakrison recessed the Special Meeting at 4:00 PM.
Mayor Sakrison reconvened the Special Meeting on February 10, 2006
at 8:40 AM.
Discussion continued.
Mayor Sakrison adjourned the Special Meeting at 11:00 PM.
