HomeMy Public PortalAbout080-1994 - REZONING - MAP ON THE EASTSIDE OF NORTH 10TH BETWEENORDINANCE NO. 80-1994 (2nd Reading Amendments) A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP ON THE EAST SIDE OF NORTH LOTH STREET BETWEEN EAST MAIN AND NORTH A STREETS WHEREAS the zoning map designates the parking lot on the east side of North 10th Street between East Main and North A Streets as C-3 Central Business District, and WHEREAS the City of Richmond owns and operates the parking lot located north of the first alley north of East Main Street consisting of Auditor's Map numbers 46-33-330-914.000-29 and 46-33-330-915.000-29, and WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation for 57 feet off the north side of said City -owned parking lot to C-3 Central Business Special Use District to accomodate the installation of an electric Power sub -station. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation of 57 feet off the entire south side of lot number 170 in that part of the City of Richmond laid out by Charles W. Starr, being one and the same as 57 feet off the entire north side of Auditor's Map number 46-33-330-915.000-29, be and is hereby changed to C-3 Central Business Special Use District to permit the installation of an electric power substation under Richmond Code 154.32.01.01 and 154.48.02. Be it further ordained that the Advisory Plan Commission has determined pursuant to Richmond Code 155.04(d) that the proposed location of the electric power substation is in conformity with the public development plan. Street between North "A" Street and East Main. The property is presently used as a public parking lot and is owned by the City. Notices were delivered to all surrounding property owners. No comments were returned to this office for or against the request. Richmond's Comprehensive Plan designates this area to be a retail commercial district. The Planning staff and RP&L officials recommended approval of the request. The Planning Commission voted 10 in favor, none opposed to recommend, to Council, passage of Ordinance No. 80 - 1994.
