HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 1705 VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD RESOLUTION NO. 1705 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DESIGNATION OF 127TH STREET FROM PLAINFIELD ROAD TO NAPERVILLE PLAINFIELD ROAD AS A FEDERAL AID URBAN ROUTE ADOPTED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD THIS 2ND DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2015 Published in pamphlet form by the authority of the Village Board of the Village of Plainfield, Will and Kendall Counties, Illinois, This 3rd day of February, 2015 Passed: February 2, 2015 Approved: February 2, 2015 RESOLUTION NO. 1705 Village of Plainfield 24401 West Lockport Street Plainfield,Illinois 60544 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DESIGNATION OF 127TH STREET FROM PLAINFIELD ROAD TO NAPERVILLE PLAINFIELD ROAD AS A FEDERAL AID URBAN ROUTE Whereas, the Will County Governmental League has adopted policies for the implementation of the Surface Transportation Program (STP), subject to the approval by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and concurrence from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in accordance with the MAP-21 Act of 2012 and any successor programs; and Whereas, the MAP-21 Act of 2012 has adopted criteria to functionally classify a roadway, including analysis of the operational characteristics, location and connection to existing functionally classified roadways, through an engineering study, and; Whereas, Baxter & Woodman, Inc. has completed the necessary engineering study and compiled documents for submittal to the Will County Governmental League which states 1271 Street from Plainfield Road to Naperville Plainfield Road satisfies the functional classification criteria of an urban collector. Now, therefore, be it resolved be it resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield, Will and Kendall Counties, Illinois, that the Village hereby submits its application for functional classification of 127th Street from Plainfield Road to Naperville Plainfield Road as an urban collector road, located within the limits of the Village of Plainfield, and otherwise qualifying for said designation under the standards of the Illinois Department of Transportation, and respectfully requests approval of said application.
