HomeMy Public PortalAbout095-1994 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET - DORDINANCE NO. 95-1994 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for calendar year 1994, and WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one major budget classification to another within a department or office, and WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1, and WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the 1994 budget be amended as follows: ___ A: GeneralFund = Department of Administration 1. Delete $2,009.00 from Human Rights Commission No. 101-1-9-901-3-3909 2. Add $936.00 to Part-time Help No. 101-1-9-901-1-1198 3. Add $59.00 to Social Security No. 101-1-9-901-1-1220 4. Add $14.00 to Medicare Insurance No. 101-1-9-901-1-1222 5. Add $1,000.00 to Printing No. 101-1-9-901-2-2120 B . General Fund -Fire Operations 1. Delete $4,400.00 from Lieutenants No. 101-2-11-1101-1-1150 2. Delete $5,500.00 from Holiday Pay No. 101-2-11-1101-1-1304 3. Delete $9,000.00 from Engineers No. 101-2-11-1101-1-1137 4. Add $4,400.00 to Other Equipment No. 101-2-11-1101-4-4490 5. Add $5,500.00 to Repair Parts - Vehicles No. 101-2-11-1101-2-2321 6. Add $9,000.00 to Uniforms, Accessories No. 101-2- I 1-1101-2-2413 C. MILLIGAN City Attorney This ordinance transfers money to compensate the part-time position created by the Human Rights Commission and to cover printing and copier charges for the remainder of the year. The line item of $10,000 for this Commission has to be transferred in part to the various personnel spending categories of the 1994 budget, and to the Printing account. This ordinance transfers a total of $18,400.00 into Fire Department accounts of Capitol, Vehicle Repair Parts, and Uniforms, Accessories to purchase equipment, vehicle repair parts, and 12 sets of turnouts for the remainder of 1994. The ordinance transfers a total of $3,760.00 from various spending categories in Planning -Urban Development to Computer Equipment to purchase a computer system for the South 10th Street Park Neighborhood and additional equipment for the Neighborhood Clearing House. The ordinance also transfers $2,451.10 in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund to Building Renovations to purchase an overhead door for the garage.
