AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING THE TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE
RELATING TO THE HEIGHT OF WALLS, FENCES
AND HEDGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 9316 of the Temple City Zoning Code is
hereby amended by adding Paragraph 3 thereto to read as follows:
(3) Corner lots and reverse corner lots: A wall,
fence or hedge not exceeding 6 feet in height
may be erected or maintained on the side
property line of the street side of a corner
or reverse corner lot, except:
(a) That no view- obscuring structure, hedge,
growth or similar obstruction to view
shall be erected or maintained on such
lot higher than 40" above the gutter
flow line on streets without curbs,
within the triangular area formed by
the lines of existing or future curbs
and diagonal line joining points on
such existing or future curb lines 40
feet from the point of their projected
intersection; and
(b) That no such obstruction to view may be
erected or maintained on any portion of
such lot higher than 40" as measured in
(a) above, and within 10 feet of the edge
of the existing or future curb.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same
to be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
the City of Temple City.

nance No. 9-300 , was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Temple City, held on the
2nd day of December , 1969, and was duly passed,
approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting
of the said City Council held on the 16th day of December ,
1969, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Beckley, Briggs, Merritt, Tyrell, Harker
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
