QFFICE'Q.: eP 4NAR �.poLIGEa>'- FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 01/31/16 Hazardous Conditions One Harbour Way Narrative / Comments The Bal Harbour Police Department was contacted due to the smell of gas in the area of 1 Harbour Way. Upon the arrival of police officers and the Miami -Dade Fire Department a gas leak was discovered along the swale. The fire department concluded that the gas leak did not require an evacuation of the surrounding residents. The police officers secured the area until the arrival of the gas company. The small leak was caused by the intrusion of a tree root into the gas line. The gas company was able to repair the leak. Date Incident/Arrest Location Airplane Crash Baker Haulover Cut 02-02-16 Assist Miami Dade and Coast Guard 10300 Block and the Beach Narrative / Comments The Bal Harbour Police Marine Patrol overheard a call over the emergency frequencies regarding a small airplane crashing near the Haulover Inlet. The Marine Patrol Vessel arrived within minutes and observed that the two occupants had exited the aircraft and were being assisted ashore by a life guard. The Bal Harbour Marine Patrol assisted the coast guard in securing the crash site until the aircraft was raised and hauled to the Haulover Marina for further investigation into the cause of the crash. Date Incident/Arrest Location 10275 Collins Avenue 02-02-16 Possible Code Violation Harbour House Narrative / Comments The Bal Harbour Code Enforcement Department received a complaint regarding a resident maintaining 5 to 6 dogs and running a dog kennel out of their apartment. The investigation revealed the resident was in compliance of the two dog maximum requirement of the Village Code. Although this resident has been cited in that past for violating the allowed maximum number of dogs, upon inspection of the apartment there was no evidence of a kennel operation. OV RTO Chief of Po 'ce ,ku oti Date Incident/Arrest Location 02/04/16 Arrest / Felony Theft & Burglary 9703 Collins Avenue St. Regis Hotel Narrative / Comments Three subjects boarded a taxi in South Beach and directed the driver to the St. Regis Hotel. Upon arrival all three subjects fled from the cab without paying for services. The subjects gained access to a storage room at the St. Regis Hotel where bicycles are stored removing two bicycles and fleeing the area. Bal Harbour police officers located the suspects and recovered the stolen bicycles which were returned to the St. Regis Hotel. The suspects were arrested and transported to jail. Date Incident/Arrest Location 02/04/16 Garbage Can Fire 9703 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments The Bal Harbour Police Department along with the Miami -Dade Fire Department was dispatched to the St. Regis Hotel due to a garbage can on fire near the pool area of the premises. The fire department extinguished the small fire without any further incident. The source of the fire is unknown but appeared to be accidental. Completed by: Captain M.
