Narrative / Comments
The Bal Harbour Police Department was contacted due to the smell of gas in the area of 1
Harbour Way. Upon the arrival of police officers and the Miami -Dade Fire Department a gas leak
was discovered along the swale. The fire department concluded that the gas leak did not require
an evacuation of the surrounding residents. The police officers secured the area until the arrival
of the gas company. The small leak was caused by the intrusion of a tree root into the gas line.
The gas company was able to repair the leak.

Possible Code Violation
Harbour House
Narrative / Comments
The Bal Harbour Code Enforcement Department received a complaint regarding a resident
maintaining 5 to 6 dogs and running a dog kennel out of their apartment. The investigation
revealed the resident was in compliance of the two dog maximum requirement of the Village
Code. Although this resident has been cited in that past for violating the allowed maximum
number of dogs, upon inspection of the apartment there was no evidence of a kennel operation.
The resident has been observed walking several dogs at a time, however there is no code
restricting the number of dogs a person can walk.
