A SPECIAL ORDINANCE VACATING HAYES ARBORETUM ROAD BETWEEN
WOODSIDE DRIVE AND THE CORPORATION LINE
WHEREAS the Department of Planning and Redevelopment and the Engineering Division
of the Department of Public Works has determined that Hayes Arboretum
Road should be vacated and that Elks Club Road and Gravel Pit Road should
be maintained and developed as routes -for movement of vehicular traffic
between East Main Street and New Paris Pike, and
WHEREAS the County Engineer has to be advised regarding the City's thoroughfare plan
for said area in order to plan the replacement or new construction of bridges in
the area lying immediately north of the corporation limit, and
WHEREAS a public hearing pursuant to Richmond Code 155.04(B) was conducted by the
Advisory Plan Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that subject to the preservation of easements for existing utilities, if any, the public right-of-way
known as Hayes Arboretum Road from the north edge of Woodside Drive to the Richmond
Corporation line on the north is hereby vacated.
Passed and adopted this day of 1993, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
