RE: Ordinance No. 17-1993
Dear Ms. Lundy:
ROGER CORNETT
Mayor
ROBERT B. GOODWIN
Director
Please advise the members of Common Council that the Richmond Advisory Plan Commission conducted
a public hearing, Tuesday, February 23,1993, on the petition of Lucy G. Ignacio by George M. Sowers,
Agent, for rezoning 1824, 1826, and 1828 Chester Boulevard from R-2 and R 3 to R-4. Friends Fellowship
Community, Inc. has agreed to purchase the properties if the rezoning is passed.
There are no immediate plans for development of the area but future development would involve some
type of Multi -Family Residence dwellings by Friends Fellowship Community.
Notices were mailed to adjoining landowners and no persons appeared in opposition to the petition.
The planning staff recommended approval because expansion of low -density housing in this area is
consistent with the existing residential character of the area and the Master Plan.
The Commission voted unanimously to recommend the passage of Ordinance No. 17-1993.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Goodwin
Executive Secretary
