Subject: 5 Star Rating for St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
The purpose of this LTC is to share with you that Forbes Travel Guide just released its
most recent list of some of the world's top hotels. Only properties that meet Forbes
hospitality standards — the most stringent in the industry — achieve a Five Star, Four
Star or Recommended rating. Forbes professional inspectors check into and check out
every property they rate regularly, evaluating more than 500 criteria to determine a Star
Rating that takes the guess work out of travel planning and establishes a global
benchmark for luxury travel.
Since 2014, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort has held this distinction. Only three other
hotels in Miami -Dade County were awarded this honor this year — the Acqualina Resort
& Spa in Sunny Isles Beach; the Mandarin Oriental in Miami; and the Setai in Miami
Beach.
Attached is a brief article which appeared in the Miami Herald this past week regarding
the announcement from Forbes Travel Guide.

All the stars came out for four Miami -Dade hotels when the Forbes Travel Guide
released its 5 7th list of some of the world's top hotels Wednesday.
Five-star ratings went to Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach; Mandarin
Oriental, Miami; The Setai in Miami Beach and the St. Regis Bal Harbour. The
Setai was new to the list.
Florida had a total of six five-star hotels; the other two were in Palm Beach and
Naples. Overall, there were 115 top -rated hotels worldwide this year.
The Mandarin Oriental, Miami again pulled off a triple, earning five stars for the
hotel as well as its restaurant, Azul, and spa. The spas at the Acqualina and St.
Regis also received five stars.
Only one other Miami restaurant got five-star status: Naoe, the high -end sushi spot
on Brickell Key.
Miami hotels returned to the list published by Forbes Travel Guide, formerly the
Mobile Travel Guide, in 2013 after being absent for more than a decade. That
year, the Mandarin Oriental and Acqualina both received top honors; the St. Regis
Bal Harbour joined them in 2014.
