A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE SELECTION OF CPS EXECUTIVE SEARCH TO
CONDUCT THE CITY MANAGER AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
AND ADMINISTRATION RECRUITMENTS AND TO
AUTHORIZE THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS
WHEREAS, proposals were received from various executive search firms to
conduct a recruitment for the City Manager position; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the recruitment for the City Manager and
Director of Finance and Administration should be conducted concurrently; and
WHEREAS, the consulting firm of CPS Executive Search was selected to
conduct the recruitments; and
WHEREAS, staff negotiated an agreement to include both recruitments; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to conduct an extensive
recruitment to provide a strong and competitive pool of candidates.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
order, and resolve as follows:
..Section 1. That the City Council approves the selection of CPS Executive
Search and the firm's fee in an amount not to exceed $47,000 to conduct the concurrent
recruitments.
