AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1993 BUDGET
WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for
calendar year 1993, and
WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one
major budget classification to another within a department or office, and
WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code
6-1.1, and
WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice
and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners, and
WHEREAS Ordinance No. 29-1993 abolished the Department of Economic Growth and
Development,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 1993 budget be amended as follows:
A. General Fund - Department of Economic Growth and Development
I . Delete all balances in categories 1, 2 and 4 and accounts 3210, 3220, 3240,
3402, 3911 and 3980 in category 3 of budget classification 1-1-14-1401 as
of August 1, 1993.
2. Add the sum of all balances aforesaid as of August 1, 1993 to "Other
Contract Services", No. 1-1-14-1401-3-3990.
B . In recognition of the abolition of the Department of Economic Growth and
Development, the Mayor shall perform the duties of the former Department Head
for purposes of budget administration for the duration of 1993.
