However they are sufficient interest to be noted. Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/26/16 Beach Ranger Detail Bal Harbour Beach Narrative / Comments Due to the "spring break recess" an additional police officer was assigned to the beach in order to ensure the safety of our visitors and residents. The officer provided an increase presence on the beach as well as ensuring that all Bal Harbour Village ordinances were observed. 79 casual citizen contacts were reported by the officers assigned to the detail. Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/27/16 Traffic Arrest 9600 Harding Avenue Narrative / Comments While patrolling the 96 th Street corridor, a Bal Harbour police officer observed a motorist commit a traffic infraction. The officer conducted a traffic stop for the traffic violation and a check of the operator's driver's license revealed that it was suspended. The driver also had a bench warrant issued for his arrest. The driver was arrested and transported to jail Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/28/16 Traffic Arrest 10200 Collins Ave(Frontage Road) Narrative / Comments While conducting a mandatory traffic enforcement detail on Frontage Road, a Bal Harbour police officer observed a driver commit a traffic infraction. The officer conducted a traffic stop for the infraction. A roytine history check revealed the driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers' license and a seiz tag order issued by the Department of Highway and Safety Motor Vehicles. The Bal Harbour officers is ued the driver multiple citations and seized the tag. OVERTON Chief of Police tip��cE FLA' Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/29/16 Felony Traffic and Warrant Arrest 9909 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments While on patrol on Collins Avenue, A Bal Harbour police officer observed a dispute between the driver of a vehicle and Seaview Hotel employees. The civilian driver ran out of gas and pulled into the hotel's driveway. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the person driving the vehicle. The driver was charged with obstruction by providing false information, possession of a false driver's license and for three open bench warrants. Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/31/16 Assist the Sunny Isles Police 175 Street and Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A Sunny Isles police officer effected a traffic stop and subsequently requested assistance from the Bal Harbour Police Narcotics Detector Canine. The Bal Harbour K9 Unit responded and conducted a search which resulted in a positive find. The canine detected approximately six grams of cocaine concealed under the passenger seat area of the vehicle. Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/31/16 Assist a Citizen 10200 Block of Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A concerned citizen alerted a Bal Harbour police officer in reference to a lost and disoriented elderly female. The officer on the scene was able to locate the female's identity and her home address in Miami Beach. The officer returned the female to her residence and ensured that her relatives were notified.
