A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO DEVELOP A 5-YEAR
CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND FAIR HOUSING ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HU~)
requires cities receiving federal funds to submit a Consolidated Planning
document every 5 years; and
WHEREAS, the 5-Year Consolidated Plan provides the planning,
application and performance reporting requirements for CDBG and HOME
Grants; and
WHEREAS, the City currently receives funds from HUD for its Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to obtain the services of a firm to
prepare its Consolidated 5-year Plan and Fair Housing Assessment; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2004/05 CDBG and HOME
Operating Budgets to cover the cost of developing and preparing the plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to solicit professional
service proposals to prepare a 5-year Consolidated Plan and Fair Housing
Assessment.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
