A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DISPOSE AND/OR
DESTROY ~VENDOR ITEMS CONFISCATED BY THE CODE
ENFORCEMENT DIVISION AND PERISHABLE ITEMS STORED
IN THE EVIDENCE ROOM AT CITY HALL NORTH EVERY SIX
(6) MONTHS OR AS NECESSARY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood promotes the health,
safety and general welfare of citizens working and residing in the City of
Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood promotes enforcement
of municipal laws set forth in the Lynwood Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Division regularly confiscated illegal
merchandise from unauthorized vendors and stores such merchandise in the City
evidence room; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood does not want such confiscated
merchandise back on the streets being utilized by illegal vendors.
Section :~. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
City Manager or his designee to dispose and /or destroy all vendor items
confiscated by the Code Enforcement Division to include the following items:
Three Hundred Fifty (350) Pirate Compact Discs and Movies
Forty-five (45) Pots and Serving Utensils
Twenty-three (23) ]:ce Cream Push Carts
Twenty (20) ]:ce Chests
Ten (10) Dollies
Three (3) Bar B (~ Grills
Two (2) Hot Dog Stands
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 21st day of September 2004.
