However they are sufficient interest to be noted. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/08/16 Burglary Residence 218 Park Drive Narrative / Comments The residence has been unoccupied for over a month. The owner stated that a framed photograph of the Village is missing from the family room. There was no sign of forced entry nor any other property reported missing. The residence is currently under the control of a trust. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/09/16 Noise complaint 200 Block of Bal Bay Drive Narrative / Comments Residents reported loud music in the area. Further inspection revealed the music was coming from across the waterway in North Miami. The North Miami Police Department advised promoters had obtained permits which allowed the party as late as 1 AM. Bal Harbour police officers reported the party ended prior to 1 AM. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/10/16 Pelican Rescue Beach Jetty Narrative / Comments Concerned citizens notified the Bal Harbour Police Department of two pelicans entangled together by fishing line. Several officers and two civilians were able to corral the pelicans and successfully removed the hook and line. OVERT Chief of Police p E dr `�,$NJ1 \� FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/13/16 AOA/Miami-Dade Police 10300 Collins Ave (Haulover Bridge) Bal Harbour police received a report of a traffic crash involving a bicyclist and a passing vehicle at the crest of the Haulover Bridge. Officers arrived and located a male who sustained facial injuries as a result of the crash. The victim advised he was riding on the bridge, when he was struck from behind by a black vehicle. Officers determined the crash occurred in Miami -Dade County's jurisdiction, Miami -Dade Police responded and assumed control of the accident scene. The victim was treated by fire rescue and transported to the hospital. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/13/16 Trespassing 9909 Collin Avenue Seaview Hotel Narrative / Comments Seaview security personnel alerted a Bal Harbour police officer of a male trespassing and swimming in the pool. The investigation revealed the individual was not a registered guest nor did any guest allow him access. The individual was given a warning not to trespass on the property again or he would be arrested. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/14/16 Theft / Bicycle 9600 Block / Beach Entrance Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour police received a report of a stolen bicycle taken from the bicycle rack located on the 96 Street Beach entrance. The owner stated he left the bicycle securely locked and went jogging; upon his return he discovered the bicycle missing. An area canvass was conducted by Bal Harbour police officers and camera locations in the area were located. The Bal Harbour Police Department's criminal investigator was notified and will follow up on this case. Area directed patrols have been increased. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/14/16 Bomb Threat / Theft 10201 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments Miami Beach police notified the Bal Harbour Police Department they had received an anonymous call via their emergency line advising of a bomb at the Oceana construction site. Police responded and began an evacuation of the premises with the assistance of Oceana Supervisors. Through investigative means police were able to locate the registered owner of the cell phone which placed the call. The owner is an employee of the project and was still on the scene. He advised that his cell phone had been stolen earlier in the day after he had left it charging. Witnesses were located which provided a description of the suspect removing the cell phone. OV TON Chief of Poli e' nd5k r, R SAL HARBpGA'Qp FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/14/16 Assist Other Agency 1000 Block of 89 Street Narrative / Comments The Surfside Police Department received a frantic call from a witness advising of a shooting in progress. A Surfside police supervisor requested assistance from the Bal Harbour Police Department, who dispatched two officers. Investigation of the incident revealed it was a suicide attempt. Bal Harbour police officers assisted with preserving the crime scene and diverting vehicle traffic away from the area. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/14/16 Arrest/Possession of Marijuana 10200 Block Collins North Lot Narrative / Comments While conducting a check of the north lot, a Bal Harbour police officer made contact with a person riding a motorcycle who parked in the North Lot after hours. In addition, the male was emitting a strong odor of Marijuana from his person. The male was not carrying a driver's license nor did he display a registration for the motorcycle. The subsequent investigation revealed that his license was suspended and he was in possession of a small baggie containing suspected marijuana. The male was arrested and transported to the Miami Dade County Jail. The motorcycle was impounded and towed to the storage lot. The contraband was impounded and placed in the police evidence locker. Date Incident/Arrest Location 04/14/16 Arrest/Theft 9700BIk Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments Officers discovered a male sleeping near the bushes behind the bus stop, in possession of a backpack and a bicycle. Due to recent bicycle thefts in the area, the serial number on the bicycle was checked. The check revealed that the bicycle was reported stolen on February 19th 2016 from Texas. The male was subsequently arrested and transported to jail. Completed by: Captain M.
