A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL
HEART AND VASCULAR CENTER FUNDRAISER
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood is desirous of maintaining
the health and welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, St. Francis Medical Center is the only comprehensive, non-profit
health care institution serving Southeast Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, St. Francis Medical Center Foundation has extended an invitation
to the City of Lynwood to participate in a fundraiser for the amount of $2,500. The
fundraiser is the 7th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, October 18, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Proceeds from the fundraiser will help St. Francis Medical Center
add an urgently needed Cardio-CathLab to the Heart and Vascular Center. The Center
brings today's most advanced technology, dedicated cardiac specialists and vascular
surgeons, as well as outreach and support services to a community with an extremely
high incidence of heart disease and diabetes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to carry out any
necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution.
Section 2. The City of Lynwood will participate in the fundraiser for the
amount of $2,500.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
