Subject: Recent Architectural Review Board Action
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you a motion passed by the
Architectural Review Board during its Regular Meeting held on April 6, 2016, following a
general discussion under the Agenda item New Business, regarding the 2011 Janus Report
Historic Structure Study:
Jaya Zebede moved that, after reviewing the Janus Report, the Architectural Review
Board would recommend to the Bal Harbour Village Council that perhaps the report
could be made more comprehensive by including missing buildings, that the Council
approach the Miami -Dade County Historic Preservation Board to start inquiries
regarding the designation of the west side of Collins Avenue as a historic district. The
motion was Seconded by Mr. James Howell. Vote: the Motion passed by unanimous
voice vote (3-0).
