A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 612 INDIANA
AVENUE
WHEREAS the zoning map designates 4810 Woodside Drive as part C-4 General Business
District and part M-2 General Industrial District, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation of that portion of attached
Exhibit A designated C-4 to M-2 General Industrial District, to accommodate
the expansion of the manufacturing and warehousing activities at said location,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the zoning designation of the real estate described in attached Exhibit A be and is hereby
designated M-2 General Industrial District.

Exhibit A
Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36,
Township 14 North, Range 1 West in the City of Richmond,
Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at an P K nail found at the point of
intersection of the centerline of Woodside Drive
(formerly known.as Old United States Number 40) with the
west line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 36,
said point being 963.26 feet south of a Cooperweld
Monument found at the northwest corner of said Southwest
Quarter, (assuming said west line runs north and south),
and running thence, from said beginning point, north,
along said west line, 274.00 feet to an iron rod set;
thence south 74 degrees, 36 minutes and 15 seconds east,
parallel to the centerline of Woodside Drive, 129.65 feet
to an iron pipe set; thence north, parallel to the west
line of said Southwest Quarter, 216.01 feet to an iron
pipe set; thence east, 255.69 feet to an iron pipe set;
thence south 15 degrees, 02 minutes and 45 seconds. west,
300.24 feet to an iron pipe set; thence south 74 degrees,
36 minutes and 15 seconds east, parallel to the
centerline of said Woodside Drive, 6.50 feet to an iron
rod found; thence south 1 degree, 22 minutes and 35
seconds east, 250.75 feet to a P K nail found in the
centerline of Woodside Drive; thence north 74 degrees,
36 minutes and 15 seconds west, along said centerline,
326.77 feet to the place of beginning, containing an area

RE: Ordinance No. 54-1993
Dear Ms. Lundy:
Please advise the members of Common Council that the Richmond Advisory Plan
Commission conducted a public hearing, Tuesday, July 27, 1993, on the petition of
Claude T. Cason, Jr., owner; Doug Robbins, agent; requesting a rezoning from C-4
General Business District and M-2 General Industrial District to M-2 General
Industrial District to allow full industrial utilization and expansion of property
located at 4810 Woodside Drive.
Five notices were sent to surrounding property owners. One was returned to this
office, in favor of the request and none were returned opposed.
Planning Staff recommended approval of the request because the parcel is divided
into two different zoning classifications, thereby creating an unnecessary burden on
full and proper utilization of the property. The surrounding properties are zoned M-
2, thus this request would be compatible with the area's development.
The Commission voted 10 in favor, none opposed to recommend the passage of
Ordinance No. 54-1993.
