A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 91 OF THE RICHMOND
CODE TO AUTHORIZE DONATIONS TO ANIMAL SHELTERS
WHEREAS the expense of sheltering unclaimed animals is of concern to the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, and
WHEREAS the animal shelters operating in the City of Richmond depend upon donations as
well as contractual fees for financial support, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to donate fees received from the yearly registration of dogs and
cats to animal shelters operating in the City of Richmond,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that Chapter 91 of the Richmond Code be amended by adding the following sub -section to Section
91.14, part (C), to wit:
4. Donations to anima shelters located within the City of Richmond.
Passed and adopted this day of August, 1993, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
