A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN APPEAL TO THE STATE
BOARD OF TAX COMMISSIONERS
WI1EREAS it has been determined that it is necessary to seek relief from the grope tax Iev
Iimitations imposed by Indiana Code 6-1.1-18.5-3 because the City of ty tax I d,
Indiana, has experienced a property tax revenue short -fall as a result of erroneous
assessed valuation figures being provided to the City, and
WHEREAS Indiana Code 6-1.1-18.5-16 authorizes the City to request permission to im os
property tax levy that exceeds limitations under such circumstances, P e a
