However they are sufficient interest to be noted. Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/02/16 Suspicious Vessel 268 Bal Bay Road Narrative / Comments A very large old Yacht experienced engine failure (possible over heating) and the captain docked on the private dock of 268 Bal Bay in order to avoid crashing into the sea wall. The owner of the residence became concerned and called the Bal Harbour Police department. The officers checked all persons on board and the vessel's registration. OVER Chief of Polio OLE�_. v*OL�GE�: t Este � ' FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/03/16 Arrest for Felony Theft 9700 Collins Avenue Neiman Marcus Narrative / Comments Neiman Marcus Loss Prevention observed two females on surveillance cameras placing two men's reversible belts in a personal bag. The females made no attempt to pay for the items and walked out of the store. Loss prevention personnel detained the two subjects and notified the Bal Harbour police department. The females were arrested for felony retail theft and trespassed from the Bal Harbour Shops. Once processed they were transported to the Miami Dade County Jail. Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/03/16 Capsized Vessel 10800 Collins Ave Haulover Cut Beach Side Narrative / Comments Miami Dade Police received a 911 emergency call reference a small capsized vessel with three men in the water. Bal Harbour units responded to the Jetty area, and Miami Dade Police and Fire Rescue responded to the Haulover beach area. Within a few minutes, Miami Dade communications advised the men were safely ashore in the City of Miami Beach. The search and rescue efforts were terminated and all Bal Harbour officers resumed normal patrol functions. Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/03/16 Suspicious Person / Disturbance 9900 Block of Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments Surfside Police were dispatched to the Flannigan's restaurant reference a suspicious person carrying a large knife on his belt causing a disturbance. The male left the restaurant prior to Surfside police arrival. A description of the male was provided, within minutes, a Bal Harbour officer located the male walking on Collins Avenue. The male was indeed carrying a large knife but is was properly secured in a leather case and in plain view. Surfside police responded to the scene and advised the male did not commit any criminal offenses. A criminal history check revealed no open warrants, however the male did have an extensive criminal history in several western states. Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/04/16 Road Rage Incident 9700 Block of Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments While on routine patrol, a Bal Harbour officer observed two vehicles come to a sudden stop on Collins Avenue. The drivers exited and became involved in a heated argument. The Bal Harbour officer intervened and quelled the situation which stemmed from one driver accidentally cutting off the other. All persons were checked for open warrants and for valid driver's licenses. All parties were counseled regarding their actions and released. Date Incident/Arrest Location 06/05/16 Suspicious Person 10230 Collins Ave (Bal Bridge South) Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour officers were notified of a suspicious male sitting in the grass. Bal Harbour officers arrived and located the male. The male told the officers he was homeless and stopped to rest. A criminal history check did not reveal any criminal history. The male was provided information on homeless shelter assistance and was offered a ride to the nearest shelter. The male refused the assistance from the officers and voluntarily left the area. No property damage or reports of crimes were reported. Completed by: Captain M.
