Subject: New Beach Shower Installation
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide you with information regarding the
installation of the previously requested beach shower at the Southeast terminus of 96 Street
(East of Collins). This project is a joint venture between Bal Harbour Village and the Town of
Surfside. Village staff installed the necessary water service connection and the Town of
Surfside staff constructed the shower base and provided the installation of the beach shower
assembly.
The location of the beach shower allows residents and visitors to shower and remove beach
sand without having to walk back through the sand to access the sidewalk. The maintenance
of the beach shower assembly will be the responsibility of the Town of Surfside, while the Bal
Harbour Village Parks and Public Spaces staff will maintain the water line that feeds the
beach shower.
