Subject: Update on Holiday Lights Display for 2016
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to share with you the details regarding the ongoing
holiday lights vendor selection process.
At the June 14, 2016 Council meeting, the Village Council voted to have the Village's Architectural
Review Board (ARB) review options from vendors and make a selection in line with what will be
most appropriate for Bal Harbour Village for the 2016 holiday lighting and decorations in the
Village.
This item has been placed on the agenda for the next ARB meeting scheduled for Wednesday,
July 6 beginning at 10:00 a.m. In anticipation for this meeting, each of the three vendors who are
presenting will be placing temporary demonstrations beginning next week in certain sections of
Collins Avenue for the ARB members and public to view. These temporary demonstrations will
only be lit on Tuesday, July 5 in the evening hours and will be taken down after the meeting on
July 6.
The three vendors participating and the location of their temporary demonstrations are as follows:
• South Florida Lighting Team (Miami Christmas Lights) — on Collins Avenue in front of the
Plaza Condominium, 10185 Collins Avenue
• Plant Professionals — On Collins Avenue in front of the Carlton Terrace 10245 Collins
Avenue
• CDI Enterprises (Christmas Designers) — On Collins Avenue in front of the Sea View
Hotel, 9909 Collins Avenue
