A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
TRANSMISSION CAPACITY PURCHASE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS the City of Richmond, Indiana, is a member of the Indiana Municipal Power
Agency (hereafter called "IMPA") and entered into a Power Sales Contract
dated April 1, 1982, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to enter into the attached Transmission Capacity Purchase
Agreement (hereafter called "Agreement"), and
WHEREAS the City will recover 41 percent of its investment in the transmission
facilities described in Appendix A of the Agreement and 41 percent of its
fixed operation and maintenance expenses associated with said transmission
facilities, and
WHEREAS the operation, management and control of Richmond Power and Light is by
and under the power and authority of Common Council pursuant to
Ordinance No. 1085-1935, and
WHEREAS the Agreement is authorized by Indiana Code 8-1-2.2-10,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of Richmond, Indiana, that the
Agreement is hereby approved and Irving A. Huffman, General Manager of Richmond Power and
Light, is authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Agreement on behalf of the City of
Richmond as a member of IMPA.
