AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING THE SANITARY SEWER AND
INDUSTRIAL WASTE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sections 8400 -8410 of the Temple City Municipal
Code are hereby repealed and new Sections 8400 -8406 reading '
as follows are hereby added:
Sec. 8400. There is hereby adopted as a Sanitary Sewer
and Industrial Waste Ordinance of the City of Temple City except
as it is hereinafter amended, Ordinance No. 6130 of the County of
Los Angeles, as amended, and in full force and effect on
June 19, 1970, entitled "An Ordinance Providing Regulation for
Sanitary Sewers, and the Deposit of Discharge of Sewage and Other
Waste Matter in the Unincorporated Territory of the County of
Los Angeles."
Three (3) copies of said Ordinance No. 6130, as amended,
of the County of Los Angeles, have been deposited with the City
Clerk of the City of Temple City and shall be at all times
maintained by said City Clerk for use and examination by the
public.
Sec. 8401. Whenever in the said Ordinance No. 6130 reference
is made to the unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles
such area shall be deemed to include in its true geographical
location the area of the City of Temple City
Sec. 8402. Whenever any of the following names or terms
are used in the said Ordinance No. 6130, each such name or term
shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to
it in this Section as follows:
"BOARD" shall mean the City Council.
"COUNTY ENGINEER" shall mean the City Engineer.
"COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER" shall mean the City Health Officer
"COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES" shall mean the City of Temple City
except in such instances where the County of Los Angeles is a
correct notation due to circumstances.
"COUNTY SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT" shall mean the County
Sewer Maintenance District except in the instance where the
territory concerned either is not within or has been withdrawn
from a County Sewer Maintenance District. In any such instance
"COUNTY SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT" shall mean the City of
Temple City
"ORDINANCE" means an ordinance of the City of Temple City
except in such instances where the reference is to a stated
ordinance of the County of Los Angeles.
"PUBLIC SEWER" means all sanitary sewers and appurtenances
thereto, lying within streets or easements dedicated to the City,
which are under the sole jurisdiction of the City.
"TRUNK SEWER" means a sewer under the jurisdiction of
a public entity other then the City of Temple City.
Sec. 8403. Section 5212 of said Ordinance No. 6130 is
amended to ,read as follows: "Except as otherwise provided in
this ordinance all money received under Section 5201 shall be
deposited with the County Treasurer and credited to the Special
Sewer Maintenance Fund»

Sec. 8404. Section 5221 of said Ordinance No. 6130 is
hereby repealed.
Sec. 8405. Section 5222 of said Ordinance No. 6130 is
amended by adding the following paragraph:
"All monies collected under this Section for sewer main-
tenance are to be submitted directly to the County Sewer
Maintenance District for inclusion in the Maintenance District:'s.
Funds."
Sec. 8406. Section 5506 of said Ordinance No. 6130 is
amended by adding the following paragraph:
"In the event the damaged public sewer is not in a Sewer
Maintenance District, the violator shall reimburse the City within
thirty (30) days after the City Engineer shall render an invoice
for the same. The amount when paid shall be deposited in the
City Treasury."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in
the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October
1970.

Ordinance No. 70 -312 was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Temple City he 1 d on the 6th
day of October, 1970, and was duly passed, approved and adopted
by said Council,'approved and signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 20th day of October , 1970, by the following vote:
