A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA; RECOGNIZING WALT DISNEY WORLD FOR
HOSTING MICKEY'S WORLDWIDE KIDS PARTY;
COMMENDING WALT DISNEY WORLD'S DAVID CROSS FOR
HIS EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Walt Disney World hosted Mickey' s Worldwide Kids Party
the weekend of November 19 - 21, 1993; and
WHEREAS, Mickey's Worldwide Kids Party celebrated International
Children's Day and afforded disadvantaged children the occasion to
visit Disney World with all expenses paid; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Department coordinated the event on
behalf of the Village and provided children on Key Biscayne the
opportunity to participate; and
WHEREAS, David Cross, who served as Disney World's liaison to
the Village, provided invaluable assistance to the Recreation
Department throughout the event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Village Council recognizes Walt Disney
World for hosting Mickey's Worldwide Kids Party and providing
disadvantaged children the opportunity to visit Disney World with
all expenses paid.
Section 2. That the Village Council commends David Cross,
Disney World's liaison to the Village, for his efforts on behalf of
the Village and the children of Key Biscayne.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
