AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, The Indiana Development Finance Authority through its program, Non -
Petroleum Remediation Grant Program, has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond through its Department of Metropolitan
Development desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds to be
used to remediate environmental issues in the Whitewater Valley Gorge;
and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Department of Metropolitan Development is hereby
authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Development Finance
Authority through its program, Non -Petroleum Remediation Grant Program.
2. The City of Richmond Department of Metropolitan Development is authorized
to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars and Zero Cents ($300,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to
remediate environmental issues in the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
Passed and adopted this _2nd_ day of _April 2007, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
