OVERTONE; Chief of Police IC' FLA Weekly Summary Report Noteworthy Incidents eekiv Code Enforcement Efforts Code Enforcement in conjunction with Public Works continues to check the entire Village for areas of standing water in regards to Zika virus prevention efforts. They continue to visit all construction sites, maintaining contact with the contractors to immediately address areas of concern. Miami - Dade County Mosquito Control continues with the preventative spraying of an organic Larvicide. A code warning was issued this week within the gated community for the maintenance and appearance of a construction site. No other violations were noted. Date Incident/Arrest Location 11/04/16 Lost and Disoriented Female 10175 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A citizen discovered a lost and disoriented elderly female in the Haulover area; concerned for the safety of the elderly female, the citizen transported the female into Bal Harbour and alerted a Bal Harbour officer who was patrolling the Collins Avenue corridor. Utilizing investigative means, the Bal Harbour officer managed to identify the disoriented elderly female and notified a relative. The elderly female was subsequently reunited with her family. Date IncidentlArrest Location 11/04/16 Suspicious Incident 9600 Collins Avenue SunTrust Bank Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour officers received an anonymous call regarding two males possibly tampering with the ATM Machine at SunTrust Bank. Bal Harbour officers arrived and notified SunTrust Bank personnel of the incident. Further inspection of the ATM machine revealed minor damage to the card reader. Bal Harbour Police Crime Scene personnel processed the ATM machine for potential fingerprints. Bal Harbour investigators reviewed surveillance footage which captured the perpetrators and disseminated a flyer with the perpetrators photos to all regional law enforcement agencies. 3 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT MARK N. OVERTON Chief of Police° FLA Weekly Summary Report Date Incident/Arrest Location 11/08/16 Assist Citizen 10200 Block of Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A Bal Harbour officer located a lost and disoriented male laying on the sidewalk by the Haulover Bridge. The officer was able to contact family members who responded to the scene. The male who appeared to be in good health was provided with hydration and later released to family members. Date Incident/Arrest Location 11/04-10/2016 Traffic Mitigation 10200 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments In response to the multiple road construction projects on the Collins Avenue corridor, Bal Harbour officers were strategically deployed to various intersections throughout the Collins Avenue corridor to assist with the mitigation and continued flow of traffic during the morning and evening peak hours. Additionally, residents and commuters will receive notifications of any traffic related issues via the Police's Departments social media sites and WENS notifications stem.
