I've been talking with Stuart Sligh of Sligh Environmental Consultants about the condition of the north
beach by Savannah Beach & Racquet. In discussion with Keith Gay about comparable deterioration at
Phase 3 SBRC he manages and also North Wave, I was told the re -nourishment project is scheduled for
this year, instead of 2015/2016, Mr. Sligh also said the last information he had from NEPA was still
showing 2015 as the start time.
I spoke with Jason very early in the year about the concerns we had with our erosion. Jason did tell me
the project was focusing on the north beach beginning close to the Lighthouse. He suggested I send him
a letter requesting additional review of the area around SBRC, which I sent in February.
We have not been contacted by anyone about this and there were no postings in our area.
I'm attaching aerial photos provided by Mr. Sligh, showing the loss of 'dry sand' on the north beach by our
complex. The photos deterioration from 2011 to 2012 is pretty severe. As you can see, these photos
cover quite a stretch from North Wave (west of us) all the way to Ship Watch Oust east of us).
I will be attending the meeting Thursday, as you suggested, but wanted to provide these exhibits in
advance. Hopefully, someone will have a few minutes to examine them on our behalf.
We will be interested in learning what plans there may be for our section of the beach.

Thank you for talking with me about beach erosion on the north beach and the
upcoming sand project for Tybee. It's my understanding, the start point for this 2015
project is on the orbeach close to the Lighthouse.
As requested in our telephone conversation, I am requesting review of the erosion on
the north beach by the Savannah Beach & Racquet Club, which is a little west of that
area.
Over the past two years, we have seen a serious progression of erosion in our
immediate area. I'm sure Phase 3 and other neighbors of ours have equal concerns.
I understand your position with only limited funds being available with a set amount of
sand already funded. My hope is there may be areas in the planned project that are
in as dire need as our area. I
