AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND
POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE GRANT
FUNDS FROM THE GOVERNOR'S COUNCIL ON IMPAIRED AND
DANGEROUS DRIVING
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department has applied for and been awarded grant
funds in the total amount of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-five
Dollars ($6,745.00) from the Governor's Council on Impaired and
Dangerous Driving; and
WHEREAS, said grant funds have been awarded for the purchase of DUI enforcement
equipment and the payment of DUI enforcement overtime.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana as follows:
1) The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept the aforementioned
grant in the amount of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-five ($6,745.00) from the
Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
2) Said grant funds will be used to purchase DUI enforcement equipment and the
payment of DUI enforcement overtime.
