Weekly Summary Report
Code Enforcement Efforts
Narrative and Comments
Code Enforcement in conjunction with Public Works continues to check the entire village for areas
of standing water in regards to Zika virus prevention efforts. This week the Miami Dade Emergency
Management Department advised that they would be discontinuing the weekly Zika conference
calls with partnering agencies but would continue to monitor the situation. This was as a result of
the Miami Beach transmission zone having been lifted.
There were two code warnings issued on the beach area this week after two separate individuals
were observed walking their dogs on the beach. The Code Enforcement Unit also attended
additional training in the use of the Smart Gov software this week.
