SPECIAL MEETING
November 28, 2006
The Moab City Council held a Special Meeting on the above date at the
Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 217 East Center
Street, Moab, Utah. Mayor David L. Sakrison called the Special Meeting
to order at 4:00 PM. In attendance were Councilmembers Gregg Stucki,
Kyle Bailey, Jeffrey Davis, Keith Brewer and Rob Sweeten. Also in
attendance were City Manager Donna Metzler, City Recorder Rachel
Ellison, Planning and Community Development Director David Olsen,
Planning and Zoning Assistant Sommar Johnson, City Planner Zakery
Steele, City Engineer Daniel Stenta, and Administrative Analyst and
Economic Development Specialist Kenneth F. Davey. Two members of
the media were present.
Councilmember Sweeten moved to award the 2007 Concrete Sidewalk
Project to Straightline Contracting in the amount of $43,683.50.
Councilmember Stucki seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0
aye by a roll -call -vote.
Councilmember Davis moved to approve proposed Ordinance #2006-
15 — An Ordinance of the Governing Body of Moab Annexing
Property to the City of Moab. Councilmember Sweeten seconded the
motion. The motion carried 5-0 aye.
Mayor Sakrison, Councilmembers and City Staff discussed Proposed
Ordinances #2006-16 and #2006-17.
Councilmember Sweeten moved to Table Proposed Ordinance #2006-
16 — An Ordinance Amending the City of Moab Land Use Code
Implementing the SAR (Sensitive Area Resort) Zone District and
Proposed Ordinance #2006-17 — An Ordinance Amending the City of
Moab Land Use Code Implementing the Master Planned Developments
(MPD) Land Use Ordinance. Councilmember Brewer seconded the
motion. The motion carried 5-0 aye.
Councilmember Stucki moved for adjournment. Councilmember Davis
seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0 aye.
Mayor Sakrison adjourned the Special Meeting at 5:27 PM.
