The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to share with you the following
information regarding the new beach access path. Residents will begin receiving this
information via email, text alerts, a mailed postcard, and the next edition of the
Village newsletter:
The new beach access path located on 102nd street from Collins Avenue to the beach
just south of the Oceana Bal Harbour will be opening very soon. This state-of-the-art
path, designed by renowned landscape architect Enzo Enea, is a 25 foot wide,
soldier -paver lined path with IPE wood benches and shaded areas for residents to
enjoy their walk to and from the beach. It also features a stainless steel body and foot
shower. Entrances to the path will be secured by locked gates only accessible by Bal
Harbour Village residents through access -controlled Key Card Fobs. If you are
interested in obtaining a key card fob, please send an e-mail to:
beachaccess@balharbourfl.gov with your name, address, phone number and e-mail
address so that the fob can be programmed and issued. Until the key card fobs are
issued, the gates to the beach access path will be unlocked each day from 6:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. for residents and guests to use.
Please note that until the key card fobs are issued to residents, the gates will be
unlocked each day during daylight hours. We encourage you to share this
information with anyone you may know who may be interested.
If you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to
contact me or Ramiro Inguanzo directly.
