HomeMy Public PortalAbout133-1996 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND POLORDINANCE NO. 133-1996 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE A BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department has applied for and been awarded grant funds in the amount of Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($14,714.00) from the United States Department of Justice; and WHEREAS, said grant funds have been awarded for the purchase of an Automated Response System and require a local match of One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($1,635.00). NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: 1. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept the aforementioned grant in the amount of Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($14,714.00) from the United States Department of Justice. 2. Said grant funds shall be appropriated for the purchase of an Automated Response System. 3. Local matching funds in the amount of One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($1,635.00) will be appropriated from the General Fund (101-02-010-1001-3- 3975) for the purchase of the Automated Response System.
