Subject: Invitation to the Island Chiefs' Meeting and Dinner
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that the island municipalities,
which include the police departments of Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor, Surfside, Indian Creek
and North Bay Village, will be hosting the February meeting of the Miami -Dade Association
of Chiefs of Police dinner on February 23, 2017 at the Indian Creek Country Club.
There will be a reception commencing at 7:00 pm followed by a dinner commencing at
8:00 pm. During the dinner, the association recognizes the officer of the month based on
the letters of commendation submitted by all police agencies in Miami -Dade County. As
one of the hosting agencies, Acting Chief De la Rosa, has extended an invitation to the
event to our Mayor and members of the Village Council.
If you will be in attendance, please notify my office so that proper arrangements can be
made.
