AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NON -
REVERTING INFRASTRUCTURE FUND
WIEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-3 grants local governments "all the powers they need for
the effective operation of government as to local affairs"; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City of Richmond, Indiana have a non -reverting
infrastructure fund for the construction and repair of curbs, sidewalks,
streets, and other infrastructure.
NOW, TBEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana as follows:
1. A non -reverting infrastructure fund is hereby created for the construction and
repair of infrastructure throughout the City.
2. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 72-1996, fifty percent of all donations received from
property owners receiving tax abatements shall be appropriated to this non -reverting
infrastructure fund.
