Awards Finalist - Pamela Flanders
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that Pamela Flanders, a member
of the Bal Harbour Police Department, has been selected as finalist for the Law
Enforcement Officers (L.E.O.) Awards.
Since March 2001, Pamela Flanders has been instrumental to the support services
operations of the Bal Harbour Police Department. Ms. Flanders has served as an
administrative dynamo by performing a multitude of critical and essential functions that
directly and indirectly enhance the levels of service to the Bal Harbour Police Department's
Patrol Division, Investigations Section, Communications Section, and Records Section.
In this effort, Ms. Flanders has distinguished herself through her strong work ethic,
mentoring and training of new employees, embracing and implementing new
technologies, and volunteering her time as the coordinator for the Bal Harbour Police
Department's partnership with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life fund raiser
event and assisting with the Miami Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police. Most
successful organizations have one dedicated employee who seem to use their leadership,
passion, resourcefulness, and humility to go above and beyond and do the things behind
the scenes that make the organization function with more efficiency. For the Bal Harbour
Police Department, that person is Pamela Flanders. The manner in which Ms. Flanders has
performed her duties and responsibilities on an unwavering basis is truly consistent with
the highest standards and traditions of professional law enforcement.
