Staff reviewed the application and conducted a site inspection on January 19, 2017. (See attached photos). Staff recommended that the Public Safety, Traffic, and Parking Commission deny the on-street disabled parking request in front of 11316 Ernestine Avenue. On February 28, 2017, the Commission approved the installation of the on street disabled parking in front of 11316 Ernestine Avenue. ANALYSIS: Multiple concerns arose during various Public Safety, Traffic and Parking Commission meetings regarding the blue curb granted to resident living at 11316 Ernestine Avenue. Commissioners would like to reconsider and reevaluate the blue curb request. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the commissioners reevaluate and make suggestions as to how they would like to proceed with these concerns. Previously, staff has renewed the blue curb application at 11316 Ernestine Avenue if the resident pays their $25 yearly maintenance fee and provide a signed doctor's medical statement which states that the resident cannot walk more than 50 feet without the assistance of support.
