AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T&M ASSOCIATES-
FY 2003 NJDOT STATE AID APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has previously authorized the Borough Engineer,
T&M Associates, to prepare Grant Applications for submission for funding pursuant to
the NJDOT State Aid Program;
WHEREAS, the first application is for funding under the Roadway Category for the
Rehabilitation of Marion Street from the Woodbridge Township boundary to Coolidge
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the second application is for funding under the Pedestrian Safety Category
to include handicapped ramps and crosswalk improvements along Roosevelt Avenue in
West Carteret;
WHEREAS, T&M Associates has submitted a proposal for the preparation of the above
described NJDOT Grant Applications in an amount not to exceed $1,850.00 a copy of
which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Cotmcil have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That T&M Associates is hereby authorized to complete the preparation of
NJDOT State Aid Program Applications under both the Roadway Category and
Pedestrian Safety Category in the amount not to exceed $1,850.00 at the hourly
rate set forth in T&M's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract.
Adopted this 20th day of June, 2002
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on June 21, 2002.
