Occupation: Professional Window Cleaner
Age: 57
That Claremont Citizens regain and establish greater Home Rule over
Municipal affairs, core services, natural and renewable resources by
becoming a Charter City under California's Constitution. I will work to
initiate and adopt an Ordinance to that effect.
That Claremont Eminent Domain both the water system and electrical
grid for water delivery and solar energy production as a combined
Municipal Utility service under this "Green" Charter.
That Claremont gain, collect and market all city and residential GHG's
carbon credits under this Municipal Solar and Water Utility model.
That by maximizing local control of Claremont resources we can
maximize local change based on majority rule.
That Claremont counteract corporate control and abuse under Citizen
vs. FEC by initiating and adopting the Claremont Democratic Self-
Governance Ordinance or ban corporate donations under the Charter.
That time remains to transition from a petroleum based economy to a
renewable economy and rebalance the carbon cycle.
That as your city council member I will continue to work and apply best
practices to maintain proper relations between the city council and city
manager in a transition to a Green Chartered City.

Que Claremont obtenga, cobre y comercialice todos los creditos de

I want to thank you for the privilege of serving on the Claremont City
Council for the last four years. Together we accomplished a great deal
but there is more to do.
WE MUST CONTINUE TO:
- fight to CONTROL EXCESSIVE WATER RATES by whatever means
necessary, including acquisition of the water system in Claremont.
- take appropriate actions to sustain BALANCED BUDGETS.
- maintain PUBLIC SAFETY and support our Police Department.
- control PUBLIC RETIREMENT COSTS.
- negotiate fair and SUSTAINABLE LABOR CONTRACTS.
- develop APPROPRIATE RETAIL to meet our Community's shopping,
job, and revenue needs.
- maintain OUR STREETS and other infrastructure.
- increase and protect our OPEN SPACE while preserving the ability of
nearby residents to access and enjoy their property.
- protect OUR HERITAGE of trees, historic homes, and parks.
- support SENIOR SERVICES.
As a retired City Finance Director, with a Doctorate Degree in Public
Administration, and experience teaching public finance and budgeting
at the university level, I bring a wealth of expertise to the City Council. I
also listen to constituents' concerns.
I trust my performance as a City Council Member has earned your
support and I ask for your vote on March 5th.
