AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1995 BUDGET
WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for
calendar year 1995, and
WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one
major budget classification to another within a department or office, and
WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code
6-1.1, and
WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice
and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 1995 budget be amended as follows:
A. General Fund - Department gf Administration
1. Delete $3,514.00 from Regular Salaries
Existing account no. 101-1-9-901-1-1196
2. Delete $1,106.00 from Temporary Help
Existing account no. 101-1-9-901-1-1197
3. Add $4,620.00 to Contractual Labor
New account no. 101-1-9-901-3-3997
B . Motor Vehicle Highway Fund
1. Delete $7,790.00 from Gasoline
Existing account no. 218-38-380-3801-2-2210
2. Add $7,790.00 to Other Equipment
Existing account no. 218-38-380-3801-4-4490

This ordinance transfers $4,620.00 in the General Fund from the Department of
Administration's Regular Salaries and Temporary Help Accounts to said Department's
Contractual Labor Account to permit the hiring of a Temporary Service employee for the
vacant Executive Secretary's position.
This ordinance also transfers $7,790.00 from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund's Gasoline
Account to said fund's Other Equipment Account to purchase salt spreaders for new trucks.
This ordinance can be passed with all three readings in a single meeting upon suspension of
rules to advance to second and third readings.
